BTW, what were the blasts coming from the front???
That is a heck of a lot of power for sure, but apart from magic, i can't think of any way he could possibly be efficiently putting it down through the front wheels like that! It would make a great smoke machine.

The blasts are the spray bar for the intercooler, it keeps the intercooler really cool to keep it at its most efficient.

For the amount of cash this guy spent on that motor, he could have done a 6.1 SRT8 swap and rear drive conversion, which if you ask me, is much cooler!

I could not link the video so im not sure but is that 599hp out of a 4 cyl???? I'm sure the stang has at least a 6cyl if so then the 4 cyl should wrap out and up way quicker I know that you can put some big honking slicks on the back of a pony car to get it to hook on the track but as long as you can get that PT to hook all the weight is on top of the drive wheels them 599 horses should eat that pony up in the 1/4 but then it all depends on what gears they are both running as well

Your friend's Mustang could lose. It's a heavy car and hp per pound the PT is faster. Total Sleeper has got the same kind of aftermarket traction control system (TCS) that was made for the Neon SRT-4 to prevent wheel spin. That PT, in no way shape or form, is close to anything we know as stock. But, in the long run who cares who is faster. They should take it to the track and stop bench racing.

LOL!!!! That would be tight too!

I gave a Corvette a run for his money a few days ago...we were neck and neck for a couple of seconds from the light...but of course he beat me to the freeway ramp...this was to be expected! But, I bet he was surprised...I was! I even screeched my tires..which sucked cuz this aided in Shugga Plum's demise!

Don't laugh!

Its a 65, which weighs 600 pounds LESS than the PT. So no, not a heavy car. Its got more tire, a better compound tire, and the benefit of the weight transferring ON to the back wheels, not off of it. With that much power, the front wheels would just blow loose as soon as the weight shifted to the rear, at which point the SRT4 TCS can only take away power from one wheel or both to prevent that spen. Being in different parts of the country makes anything but "bench racing" a little tough.

The 408 in the stang screams up to 7K faster than any car I have seen. It's a v8, a 408ci 6cyl would be a tad... silly. Pretty much 7 liters

I don't know what kind of suspension mods he has. On my srt-4 I have an H brace and traction bars. This setup actually pushes the front end down and has also helped the handling. FWD is no longer what it used to be.

He has a full track setup suspension, I will find out exactly what if you would like. All I know is that the thing can nearly pull its wheels of the ground

I pretty much can guess his setup. Sounds like he has a nice ride.
