Hood strut kit
Got my first of many orders from Maggie at Race and street yesterday. And yes I've got another order on the way .LOL!
So i installed the hood strut kit this morning. was very easy to do. Just follow the instructions. I put the top pieces on backwards at first. anyways it all working awesome now. Yes! i ordered some SS cover for the struts. maggie hooked me up for the front and back. May get the brackets powdered in Marine blue at a later date. but I can live with them in black for now. can't wait for more stuff to get here and the weather to warm up more so I can install them.

Looks great! I've been wanting to do the kit to mine. I'm getting my ground effects painted today...I'll have to add this to my list.

I def. need to get one of these for my PT. They look nice, and the stupid yellow prop rod is just lame.

Not only is the yellow prop rod lame but it's dangerous. There's more than one story about mechanics forgetting about the rod and trying to close the hood leaving a nice dent/crease in the hood.
07PTowner. Are the pictures you posted the way the struts are now, because I have them (and many others) the other way with the larger part of the strut at the top. I guess they work well either way.

So I swapped the struts around. with the black on top.
Can't wait to get my stainless steel covers. I'll update the pics on the weekend after i give her a wash.
