U can get the chrome shorty antenna at Advance Auto Parts if you have 1 around you. I bought 1 for another car recently and its the same one as I ordered for my pt from a pt website....

It's probably not worth the hassle of dealing with the Dealer. Just cover the area with some tape of sorts, and put tape around the end of the screwdriver and you'll be alright.
Best Advice: 1) Don't hit the screwdriver TOO hard or you may make a scratch  .2) Open the passenger door, and with your left hand hold the shaft part so it doesn't fall through when you loosen that nut all the way. Good luck! I'll try to find that Chrome Antenna at my local auto store. Thanks Stonewhite

OK! So i followed the instructions that came with the bezel.
I didn't try hitting with a hammer and screwdriver. i started with the rightangle needlenose pliers and have managed to chew up the nut. now I need to figure out another way to get it off.

I just held on the end of the antenna after I had loosened the nut. I have removed 2 so far and have not dropped the antenna.

Get a screwdriver, and something to hit it with, doesn't have to be a hammer. and start to hit it counter-clockwise.

I don't think a screw driver will help this.
 Anyone have any suggestions? I'm planiing to cut it off and replace the whole antenna. the nut just more or less shreded when using the needlenose plyers on it.

I have the chrome bezel and no I didn't get angry with it. Just followed the instructions and ended up with this. i'll just cut it off and replace the whole antenna unit.
I cut the bezel to see if i could get in behind it.

So I got it apart and temporarily fixed for now.
 still need to replace the antenna
