Pretty cool deal. LED's are the wave of the future for homelighting as well as automotive & industrial uses. It wouldn't supprise me if you see them replace traditional headlights completely in the next few years. Not to mention the durability factor. Most LED's have a life span that will far outlast your car with long term use. As a tip, if your not into the whole look of LED lights, you can take some emory cloth or super fine sand paper & buff the LED lenses with it will make them broadcast the light better. They will still be just as bright, but it might mimmic light from a traditional bulb more if your not into the LED look.
People in the aquarium hobby do this all the time to them to get the light to spread out more evenly when they use them for moonlights on their fish tanks. They even have PFO LED lighting that's powerful enough to mimic natural daylight for growing corals & aquatic plants. |
