License plate lighting....
I recently ordered an white LED bulb to replace the license plate bulb. It will look similar to the new Lexus IS models.... A nice cool white light over the plate. It is a small bulb but has 19 LEDs on it pointing in all directions for full coverage.... cant wait to install it.

As long as you stay "white", good idea. Anything else is illegal.

My license plate light uses white LEDs too, but mine is a full surround. The license plate spot in my bumper is frenched in, so I used a full surround light disguised in a chrome license plate frame. It looks really sweet at night, plus you can change it to red at the flip of a switch (but OF COURSE I dont do that, be cause THATS ILLEGAL
 )

SO where did you get this light? how much was it? what kind of bulb is the stock?
Would Like to look into getting one or a similar one.. Nice lil Mod...if the cops want to see the plate..then by god they will SEE the plate

Got it off EBAY for 19.99 for 2 bulbs but you will only need 1. The bulb # is 194/164.... The Picture doesnt do this little bulb justice...It has 19 LEDS on it pointing in all directions. It is SOOO Bright and even looks better than the Plate lights on the New Lexus cars. If you look at my pic, you can see the light shining on the ground, That kinda shows the brightness of it....

LoL! I think Im gonna hold on to my extra 1. You would be better off just buying a pair anyway. Here is the EXACT link of what you will need on Ebay with the right bulb #s. Great Company to deal with and they make A+ Quality bulbs. Its $18.99 with 3.79 shipping for 2 Bulbs.... Give It a Try!
