Are all the PT Cruiser Tail Lights the Same to Remove?

Yes, except maybe for a couple custom lights, they are all held on with one screw at the bottom. I believe it's a HEX/Torx bolt but a decent size flathead screwdriver will do.

Once the bolt is out, the light slides towards the bottom releasing the two side clips (one on each side) that hold the tail light in place.

I LOVE this vehicle.
Do you know any sites that have junk PT Cruisers cause I want ot put a custom cut panel in my rear for a subwoofer setup and amp setup without losing any room kinda thing LOL.

I don't know of any sites they deal in junked cruisers but if your looking for used parts like from one of these.....



Any salvage yard should have 1 or 2 cruisers that have seen better days. There's been over a million sold which means there's probably a couple thousand around the country that are lying in salvage yards.

P.S. The left side panel was made for a subwoofer without doing any cutting and there's plenty of room under the drivers seat for an AMP. That's where I have my Clarion 200 watt.

There is a guy on Ebay who semms the OEM 80 AMP & 8 inch subwoofer kit up that fits into/behind the left rear stash box in the back. It comes with the factory wiring and hookups.

Usually runs in mid $150 range and it does leave you with all the original space in the back.

I know it ain't a THUMPER but its better than nuttin...

I got one of these mopar units and it's great, as you say, all in one unit (built in amp and runs off high level speaker wires from behind the head unit)keeps all your boot space for whatever you want mine's usually full of mountain bike

It's powerfull enough for the standard set up, but if you start to upgrade you may want to put a new woofer in the box and seperate amp, then upgrade your door speakers... the list then goes on and on.

There ya go. I have that sub and it really round off the sound system nicely! It does thump enough for me. My friend could feel it in his car when he was behind me!
