Honestly I have seen more blue and green neon than red... Blue and green seem to be the number one choice for everyone who drives an import.

i will agree with that now but i have about 20-23 years on you and the number one used to be red around my part of the country.back in early 80's you did not have as many choices in color and if you ran interior lites it was usually red.i just got sick of all that then but am now having fun with my pt.blue dope lites were all the rage also.(mine was orange,in a 72 ss nova)
my thoughts on the blue and green is "IN YOUR FACE",way too bright, the red is more subtle, purple a little more so and then pink.
check out action shots of cathodes on oznium site.on those pics the red is reeaall intense, too intense for me.thats why i choose pink.your choice is right with red for your car but mine is linen gold, hence the pink.if i had a drker color like yours choices would be red or purple.(my wife thinks you should try the purple, but then again, she choose me)

For me, I just replaced the little plastic lens that is in there with a hand made red one. The light for the cup-holders is directly above them in a small black plastic housing.

i will tell you how i do it after i get them in.gonna take out console so i can run the lites in the cup holders but you can see finished on the oznium site.look under action shots on the 4-chip l.e.d.s and you will see how others have done it.
ordered mine on thursday so should be here by tuesday and will install next day.will post pics soon after.gonna do grill first and footwells as those will be easiest.then in few weeks, once i get a day off(12 hour shifts),will drive to freinds in ky to borrow garage and drop headliner to do dome lites and in hood and pull console.he works for ford and so has about full repair shop at home.he restores and shows mustangs, has 5 right now including indy pace car,a ky ssp "chase" car,and an 83,85,and 87 for driving.

Can someone post some pictures on how they mounted there underboy kits. I have 4' neons for the side but there to long and 3' for F&R but the front neon is to long and the rear has the spare tire and muffler.

Actually, speaking of purple, I am working on a project to change the AC knob lights and all the others in that cluster to purple. Just swapping out the incandescents for red LEDs and resistors. Should be nice with the blue radar screen right above it. I was looking at my lights last night and I realized that they are almost orange... You figure that I would have noticed seeing as I OWN the car right? All I have to go on for light color popularity is what I have seen, so I have to agree with you. I don't know how the trend has changed over time.

If it was me I would use the Street Glow neon. Neon is usually much brighter than LED's. I have had my neons on the car since I bought it 4 1\2 years ago. The only problem is I have broken a few on the front because it's so low.
good luck!
