Default Chrome window pillars

1 question about installing the chrome pillars on the side windows. Do they go over the top of that little piece of rubber at the base of the window, or do u have to put them just under the flap?

Best I can remember, it goes under the rubber piece. Just be sure you got it where you want it cause once it sticks, it don't come off.

I want to hide the peeling. I don't want to use the black cover up, cause it does not work. I used a cover up (paint) on my previous car it peeled after a year and a half. + the chrome looks cleaner.
