Hey pauly,
Glad I could help! As for Air Ride, Air Ride Technologies is one of the best set ups to use! When it comes to running Air Ride is to make double sure that everything is done right! Especially if you drive your PT, as you really do not want to pop a bag, or lose air pressure while you are cruising down the freeway at 70 MPH! Just be careful, and if you will have someone else install the kit, make sure you sit down, and talk to him, to make sure he is qualified, and able to do the job correctly! Make sure he uses good heavy duty lines, and fittings to help avoid leaks! Now for the fun stuff! First off is a Youtube Vid from a company in the UK who does Air Ride. It is a great Demo on what it does and how it works! And here is the official Website Listing. I don't know much about the Unit, or if you could even buy it anywhere, but it gives you a good idea anyway! Air ride - air suspension for any car - supplied or fully installed » PT Cruiser A complete Air Ride Kit can run you anywhere from $1800.00 - $2400.00! For the best Kit, at least as far as I am aware of, give these guys a call! Air Ride Technologies - ridetech.com Or try Here: Suicide Doors I hope that gives you a little more info on Air! Take it easy, an I will catch ya later! ![]() Candyman |

I have an idea that I would love to try. Do you think you'd be interested in doing an exhaust setup?
Here's my plan: A four banger IMO sounds like total crap. But only an inline four. Ever listen to an old school VW run that's been cammed up and has dual exhaust? It sounds like a pair of Harley's idling side by side. It keeps sounding good as it revs, and it doesn't have that sickly sound that an inline makes. Why do they sound like that? The firing order on the VW makes it fire one bank, then the other. Essentially the one exhaust pipe fires, bang - bang - then a pause, then the other side does it. Make you think of something? Like the way a Harley idles maybe? I'm thinking you can get the same sound out of an inline four. I'm not sure what the firing order is on the PT, but if it's 1,3,4,2, then you would pair up cylinders 1&2, and 3&4 (it would fire 2-1 on the one side, 3-4 on the other). Then if you would run seperate pipes off the headers, and make them exit on the sides of the car in front of the rear wheel like some of the lake pipe setups, you'd really define that sound. I'm thinking that 1.5" dual exhaust would probably be in the area of what you'd want for diameter flow wise, maybe a larger tip 2-2.5" for a deeper tone. The exhaust I can fab up, but the header would be harder to do. I don't have access to a pipe bender or all of that good stuff that would make it practical for me to try. I don't know, maybe all the work and it sounds like crap. But it'd be interesting to try. I'm positive it has to have a much different sound than a typical single exhaust. Ben

Hey cleverklutz,
Thank you for your idea! I will let you in on a little secret! My Fabricator Steve is a pure die hard V-Dub Guy at heart! We worked together on his last project to which I did the design work on paper, did much of the glass work in the fenders, door tops, and custom lid, and was the last car I personally spent time with in the Paint Booth! I rarely ever pick up a spray gun, as the paint is very hard to get to come out the way I want, but this one, I am proud of! ![]() ![]() Anyways, I have just forwarded your idea, and we will kick it around, and see what we can come up with! Thank you so much for the cool idea, and we will see what might be able to be put together!Take it easy! Candyman |

Hey Everyone,
I wanted to thank you all for your input, and ideas! The reason we are doing this is for a couple of reasons. 1. Whenever you are at a PT Show, and you walk down a long line of cool custom PT's, while they all are really great, do to a lack of aftermarket parts, a lot of what you see is 100 different variations of a PTeazer front fascia, a Crusher Body Kit, or just a handful of the same parts over, and over again!! While this is fine, it just feels like their is something missing! So we wanted to create some new parts, and ideas to help revive the coolness in the PT! 2. Since Chrysler announced they were killing the PT from its line up, it seems like our community is slowing down. People are moving on, and the PT is dying away! We wanted to try to get the PT People excited about their PT's again, and try to attract new owners to come join in the community, modify their PT, and have as much fun as all of us have had with this great car! Again, I thank all of your for your positive feedback! We sure do appreciate it, and as soon as we get my PT wrapped up, and a few more things done, we will be working on bringing some of these great idea together! Thank You, Candyman |

Candyman,
The one part that I would buy the moment it was available would be a chrome pillow insert for to '06 and up rear bumpers. The store currently carries the 01-05 version from Autotecnica, seen here: ![]() Unfortunately, the redesign in '06 changed the size and shape of the rear license plate area and there has been no response from Autotecnica for a new version. |

If the price was right, I'd buy one!!
