Hey their brightlight07,
Those covers do look great! Its funny, out of all the coolest, most insane PT's I have ever came across (Mine Included) whenever those two little words "Sweet PT" come up, that little "Thank you....yeah she is coming along...but still need work" seems to be pretty common. So, with that said, As Chapter President, I would like to welcome our newest member to the prestigious "Never Satisfied Club"! Its all down hill from here! :![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Welcome to my world! Candyman

Hey their brightlight07,
The best way on dropping your ride is on springs! They can run between $200 - $300. They range from just mild drops, to moderate drops as low as the Goldline Super Slammers which will give you a drop of 2 1/4" / 3 1/2". I had a good friend fab mine to fully cover the gap, so I am running a full 3" / 5" drop which gives me a ride height of 4" from the ground on all 4 corners, and tucks the stocker 17" wheels in the back, with a 1/2" clearance off the tires in the front. Springs do compress the travel so the more you drop it, the cooler it looks, but you will pay a bit for ride quality. You can make up for it to a certain extent with aftermarket struts, and shocks with a bit more cost. So with Springs, Labor, shocks, struts, alignment, out the door, I would recon somewhere in the neighborhood of $600.00 - $700 Max! If you are good with a wrench, the install is pretty straight forward, and you can take a couple hundred off! The other way to ground your ride is on bags, but it comes with a cost of around $3000+. Anyways, $600 - $700, and you get a pretty cool dropped look, and a bit more attitude! Later tuck some new wheels when the budget allows, and you will be stylin in no time! Take er easy, Candyman

Hey their brightlight07,
Sorry it took me a few to get back to you! Been really busy with projects. Anyways, I like the way you think! Goldline Super Slammers will get you down to * Front drop of 2.75" * Rear drop of 3.25" Mine are custom coiled, but at pretty much the same tention, and work well. If you cut the front bump stops in half, you can get it exactly where mine is up front, and get to 1/2" off the tires with no clearance issues. The rear will still have a rake, and therefore a little wheel gap. Since I wanted mine level, with no gap, mine were set up at the same tension minus one coil. You can cut one coil using a chop saw, and the overall effect will be the same. Their is a lot of extra room in the back so clearance is not as much an issue. The trick for me was going off the 24 1/2" I had from the front top of the wheel well to the ground dead center. That was the goal, and final result of the measurement in the rear on my ride. It will kill off a lot of the ride quality, but if your used to the lowered feel, that's not new news. The back on mine still has some play, but the front is pretty rigid to get it down that low. Oddly enough, my camber did not stray too much off pitch, and did not end up needing to realign my PT. We put it up on a laser alignment, and it was still in spec. As for the ride quality, I have heard Tokico shocks and struts work good for improving the quality to some extent, but I am not sure by how much. Anyways, I hope that helps out, and gives you the basic idea of maxing out the drop thing! Sure you lose the ride a bit, but to me, I just love the look too much to give up! As mentioned, I am 4" body height, and 3 1/2 under both the front, and rear bumpers which just sits right for me! Love the stance! Here is my ride with the Goldline Super Slammers on, and then with my custom coils. ![]() ![]() And here is a link to where you can find them. Hey Oldschoolpaulie,
Since you are into that old school look, I thought I would post a pick for you. Can you imagine your ride like this? White Walls, Wood, and skirts, and you might be rolling in style! I just thought your ride reminded me of this one a bit, so I figured I would post it! ![]() ![]() Take er easy! Candyman
