Hey metraluk,

Thank you for the props my man! Unfortunately the closest custom painter I know personally is over around the Visalia/Lemoore area, which is a ways from you. I could definitely get you hooked up, but the distance thing is a tough one!

I found a listing for a Custom Painter their in Sac that looks pretty good, but I don't know the guy myself. He might be worth checking into though as he specifically does custom paint, air brushing, and pin striping. Their website is down at the moment, but here is his contact info.

And a Google Map to their Laocation up off I80.

They appear to be a part of Daily's Auto Body Shop, and have some positive reviews on custom paint, so he might be one to check out.

Your best bet might be to still be to check around with some good Collision Centers around your area. Scope out a few prospective shops in person, and see what they might have to offer. See if they have some cool street rods, or custom car projects around the shop, and talk to them about what you want! Most paint shops can handle flames, and those that have who enjoy doing street rods, and restorations, will usually be the best sources for pulling off some cool paintwork! Remember when you find someone you feel comfortable with to do the job, to get their input on things! You want it to stay subtle color wise, but would like something cool looking to show off! If they are a smaller shop, and you are into shows, maybe casually offer seeing if they might be interested in maybe putting a sticker in the back window or something and see if you can get them to do some extra cool stuff to your paint in return for some advertising for their shop!

Like I mentioned above, I can get with my guys over in Visalia if you want, but try shopping around, and see what you kick up! Let me know how you make out!
