Default Xenon Kits

I was wondering if anyone can tell me their experience with the Xenon kits they have purchased in regards to ease of install. I don't plan on doing the install myself, but my local dealership is afraid to tackle it, and the only custom type shop in my town has very limited experience with after market body kits.

Did anyone hear if they are a good fit?
Do you require and mass drilling or holes in the original body?
Any info would be great.

Thanks

I had only a few problems with my Xenon Bruizer kit. The biggest problem was with the Borla dual exhaust. I had had it installed before the kit and had to get the exhaust adjusted to not touch the rear bumper cover, and had to have the exhaust tips extended 4-6 inches. Otherwise, it's great. But if you get the exhaust, keep in mind it may need adjustment or extension.

I got the basic Zenon front & rear bumper covers, had my local specialty shop paint them, then I installed them myself. Rear was rather easy, front best done with someone to help because the front cover twists easily and that makes keeping the double-sided tape clear more difficult. It is a do-it-yourself type project (except for the painting) unless you are absolutely bad with your hands! I also installed Bassani duals myself, and they fit the Zenon cover perfectly (have to order special length for the Zenon cover, not a problem). Check out Race and Street (http://www.raceandstreet.com/ptindex/) for best prices and service.

I agree with Renichms. The only problem is the Borla Duals. Need to extend them out.

I too have the Xenon kit installed. The fit was perfect with the Bassani exhaust made for the kit. It fits great to the factory panels. You need to screw the panels in several places along with some double sided sticky tape. No problem at all with anything.

California Cruisers installed my Xenon front and rear bumper covers. I liked them, but they just weren't the look I was going for. I had the same trouble as renichms with the left exhaust pipe. I have the California Cruisers U2 exhaust installed by them too. It melted the bumper cover piece that is above the tail pipe. Fortunately the problem isn't visible from the rear of the car. Needless to say, I'm not very happy about that situation and the fact that Bob wouldn't fix it nor replace the exhaust tips that have melted plastic all over them.

As you can see by my signature photo, I've already changed the front. I've replaced the front end with a PTeazer front and a 1935 Ford passenger car bumper attached to the PT Cruiser frame. I hope to change out the rear soon. That will take care of the melted bumper cover. I'm going for the look that I wanted in the first place.
