Pilot Windshield Nozzles???

Hi All,

My stock nozzles weren't spraying windshield wiper fluid...so I stopped at a station, popped the hood and lifted the fabric thingy (under the hood) and a piece of the hose that connects to the nozzle falls off.

I order the entire hose assembly from a dealer, cuz this little piece is part of the hose. While installing the hose, I realize there wasn't enough of the nozzle to install the hose. I didn't realize that the part of the nozzle that fits into the hose had actually melted and had broken off in it. So, I run to Autozone and purchase the only nozzles they had available...Pilot LED nozzles....they look a lil cheesy for my taste, plastic chrome and all.

I was wondering if anyone has purchased any metal nozzles...so that I won't have a plastic melting problem again??? Anyone have some nice after market nozzles? Please let me know.

i have to ask how did they melt????I guess i don't know where you live but it gets pretty hot here in Mo. and im thinking they shouldn't melt from sun light???

I live in Houston, Texas and it gets really hot down here. The nozzles are black (Black or darker colors absorb heat quickly) and they are on the hood. The extension from the nozzle to the hose is under the hood...and it gets hot under there...so they melted. From what I hear, it's a common problem down here.

The nozzle (on the hood) didn't melt itself, only the extension from the nozzle to the hose (located under the hood) melted.

Chrome plastic cheesy ones from APC that light up too. Had em for 3 years now, but the PT doesn't sit out in the sun except for shows and when I'm driving my other cruiser.

Mine look just like these! They look better on your cruiser cuz it's silver...they blend in well...but on my Dark Cranberry...I'm not liking it!!

i know mine melted when the painter tried painting them lime green, went through like 10 sets =P

jw kind of a noob question..but any special modification u had to do to install those ledz?

If you me mine, no. Just take the old washers out and replace them with the new LED/washer.
