Default PT Handle

Anyone else have the PT Handle installed on the rear windshield wiper?? I just LOVE it! That wiper was a PIA anyway. I like the look of it, and the ease of cleaning, and because not too many people have one! I saw a Cruiser that had a giant wind up key, like you see on kids toys, and it was pretty funny when you flicked n the wipers!

Nope, no PT handle. I have seen quite a few pics of them. I would have a handle in a sec if you could raise that rear window. I agree the wiper is a PIA to clean around. Why couldn't Chrysler have made the wiper like the front ones where you can pop them out until you get through cleaning. I did see a pic of the car with the key on the back. Ingenious.

I have the handle and agree whole hardedly that it's much easier to clean the back window. I was at the Niagra Falls show last june with 275 other PT's, and the guy with the big key (don't know if it was the same one you saw) won a prise for that key. Don't remember what the category was, I think they made one up just to give him something for his ingenuity. I flick the rear handle on whenever there's another PT in back of me just to say hello.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the rear wiper? How difficult is it? Should I be prepared for any problems that might come up? Where can I get one of the handles to replace the wiper?

This must have been a "copy cat" with the wind up key....I saw it at an event on the west coast....

The blade is SIMPLE to remove, I'm very mechanically-challenged and it took about 2 minutes to figure it out. Easy to put back on, too. The PT Handle just fits right over the remaining piece and screws on.

You know I can't find the email address for this, here's the snail mail address

However, if you go to PT DIY there are actual photos and contacts. If you order through PTDIY believe you get a discount.

CREWZIN - The Niagara Falls cruiser with the key is the one I was referring to. He won the "spot" award, and I do THINK they made that award up for him.

PTKRUZN - I believe the cruiser with the key at the Falls was from the West Coast.

Big Kahuna - Here's the email address PTKRUZN bought their PT handle from: wshailer@snet.net . This is the URL for the instructions from PTDIY to install the handle, http://www.ptdoityourself.net/pthandleguide.html I do not know if you can still get the discount through PTDIY. Ed of PTDIY has shut down his email section and Ask Motor Mike due to illness.

Thanks for the email address... I'll try them! I was actually thinking about a little surfer attached to the arm that would rock back and forth when I turn on the rear wiper switch....

Im not really much of a handle person....i dont think it is really worth doing...i think you should wait because someone sooner or later will come out with something that is like an emblem that lays on the window.....just my opinion...not saying i hate people that have em...hahahaha....

Hey Smitty, have you seen what they look like when installed? It's actually pretty cool. I have attached a small flag to the handle so I can turn on the wipers and it waves back and forth. Awesome.

I somehow missed these last posts...sorry.

Big Kahuna - I like the idea of the surfer on your stone white with all your other surfer mods!! Would look great when the "wiper" is turned on. Have you completed this mod yet???

And PTKRUZN you are ingenious also. I bet the flag gets lots of comments and looks!
