Default Painted my mirrors...

Thought I would share a few pictures, I just finished buffing my mirrors, I painted them to match the car, and painted the taillights and reverse lens while I had the paint mixed. Let me know what you think..!!!

Mirrors look good. Had mine painted about the same time I had the door pillars and bumpers painted.

What was invilved in painting the mirrors? I'll bet alot of sanding to smooth out the rough texture of the factory originals

That sounds like a lot of work.
I found it much easier to do painted mirror covers!

Mine were not sanded. Up close you can see the textured finish. Step back a few feet and they look like they were sanded.

PTragtop, not real hard to paint the mirrors, i make sure and clean the plastic with a good wax and grease remover, the spray about 3 coats of primer to fill in the rough surface, then sand with a scotch brite pad. Now ready to paint, I used bc/cc, after about 3 days to dry, I wet sanded lightly with 1000grit wet/dry paper, then buffed, took about 1 hour per mirror. I really like having the mirrors body color.
