yeah I really wasn't interested in doing it myself just wanted to talk to someone and ask how of a PIA it is to get in, because it looks like it is =P

Hey their prettybluewoody,

Yep, that was me on the work involved in Suiciding the back doors. Here is a Link to that write up on it. Just scroll down and you will find it in their. It for sure looks easy enough, but the sad reality is that it is a pretty extensive Mod to do the right way, and properly hinge the very heavy doors, to make them swing straight rather than tilted upward, and to keep them from sagging, or coming open when driving which canbe extremely dangerous, and why their are only a handful of PT's that this Mod has been done to. At any rate, here is my little bit on the Suicide Doors Mod so you can get a bit better idea on what is actually involved to pull it off correctly.

Suicide Door Hinges

In addition, here is a Link to our new Member from the UK "Groozer" who has a few pic's of his Suicide Doors Mod to also give you a good prospective on how the Hinge goes together properly in raw unpainted form.

If you have any more questions or thoughts on doing either Lambo, or Suicide Doors, please let me know and I would be more than happy to try to awnser anything further as best I can.

Go easy, and I will catch you all later.

Hello YoungCruiserrr,

I stumbled on your post about the Lambo doors, and wanted to respond.

I recently purchased a lot of auto parts from a warehouse that went out of business in the southern USA, that included quite a few of the LSD Door kits for many applications including the PT Cruiser.

I have quite a few of these in stock in my warehouse in California and I am currently offering them on my eBay store at $399 a kit (plus shipping)LSD Lambo Style Door Kit PT Cruiser All:eBay Motors (item 280377662145)

I have worked it out with LSD and all these kits carry full LSD USA factory warrantee.

Let me know if you have any questions,
Thanks

Thanks for the interesting feedback on the price.

At 75% off the going retail rate (this kit sells from LSD for $1599), I would have thought that $399 would have been very attractive, but it is what it is .

Well, they are online on eBay if anyone is interested while they last

Thanks!

I tried to get in one of the guy's with the doors at The Beach and I just couldn't do it. If it was a vert and the top was down, sure, but I'm 6'2" and about 275 and that just wasn't happening. Helped me decide against them. Now if I could figure out how to suicide my doors....

They are a mod I'm considering for my Magnum but they will be one of the last things I will ever do to it!!!
I saw a magnum this past weekend with all 4 doors suicided. Looked great especially with the paint job he had (think rivited steel plates rusting). It was a flat paint and guy said he hasn't washed it once since it was painted, that the dirtier it gets the better it looks. Sadly phone battery died before I could get a pic but hope he'll be there next Friday.
