Anyone got any idea how to remove the railings for it? its screwed in with allen wrench screws. i removed the rack but i want those rails gone, whats the best way to go by this, other then ofcourse gettign a new entire roof

Sounds like you answered your own question. Get your self a set (buy, beg, borrow) of allen wrenches and start turning counter clockwise. I'm sure your going to leave a few holes in the roof when it's off.

This i know, which im a afraid of, i know how to remove it, but do you think ill have leaks or any type of corrosion if i just screw them back in? maybe a light foam ill leave on or something?

thanks man that should work, do u think weather conditions will wear away the silicon? its florida, so its really hot, nice, or raining all hell

haha im in SW Florida but the highest point in the county, Lehigh Acres. Normally things arent that bad around here, plus my baby is garage safe when im not driving

Just below me, so don't worry about the silicone wearing away. I'd worry more about what it's going to look like with all those bumps (washers and screws) on the roof.

I can't find a picture (imagine that) but they used to sell chrome strips about half inch wide for the rear hatch. They went vertical from lip of tailgate to edge of rear window and were placed about 6-8 inches apart. One of the owners in my club took some chrome strips of their own and placed them 6-8 inches apart over the roof, length wise to match the rear hatch strips. Just an idea to hide the holes.
Of course if you hated the roof rails that much you probably wouldn't like chrome strips either.
