Default Rear Wiper Modification

Any ideas on how to correct the rear wiper's lack of perpendicularity (like the front pair) for cleaning purposes? This seems to be an oversight by Chrysler yet I'm surprised it hasn't been addressed in the forums.

Not sure what you mean by perpendicularity, but here's a replacment window from pteazer which gets rid of any problem. It'd be cool if DC offered this as an option...

Hey Jody . Best cure yet . Doesn't that clean look , look great and no problems with wiper scratches all over the glass from wiping dirt all over it .

Easier and cheaper is the PT Handle manufactured by TerryCo Mfg.

For more information go to www.ptdoityourself.net

I do have to admit the all clear window is nice...but if you ever wanted the rear wiper back on...your in trouble. With the PT Handle it's a five minute switch.

I mean lifting the wiper arm perpendicular (90-degrees) to the glass. I'll have to play with it some when it gets warmer outside.

Anybody else think of this before?

Stephen, I guess we got off onto another track and didn't answer your question. If your bent on keeping the rear wiper, I guess what most of us did was just pick the wiper up from the glass as far as it would go (a couple of inches) with one hand, and wipe the glass underneath with whatever your using to clean the glass. Yes, CD should have made the wiper so it would go 90 degrees away from the glass and hold itself up away from the glass, but they didn't and we can only assume some engineer had a reason for doing so.

I removed my r. wiper but I was wondering if a front arm and blade would work on the back ? Just a thought .

My old Jeep Gr Cherokee had a rear wiper arm that would flip 90 degrees, I wonder if one of those would fit the PT?
