Default 01 bumper cover

my girlfriend has an 01 limited with the dreaded tape marks on the grey bumpers, they are also a little scuffed. is there an inexpensive bumper cover that just covers the grey areas?

Welcome.
Well, there's :
PT Cruiser Bumper Cover - Front - Xenon : Race and Street
But it has to be painted.
Get "Back to Black" - it covers it - for a while...

+1

Instead of buying a cover that need to be painted, why not just paint the bumper itself?

Hey their jbob208,

Another thing you could try as well might be to give Ray over at PTeazer a call. He often has several take off stock bumpers from where people have bought aftermarket bumpers and left the old ones their that he most likely would sell cheap, already painted, and ready to go. May be another option to try anyways. Here is a Link to his Site.

We had thought about painting the bumpers but the front bumper has a rather large gouge in it. I thought that at one time someone was making a vacuum formed plastic cover that was held on with 3M tape. she just bought the car a couple of days ago and is thrilled with it!!!

Yes, I had one of the vacuum formed bumpers that was held on with 3M tape and a couple screws. I sold it to QuicksilverDon and had mine painted. You can still by them. It's called Xenon and if you cick on the link that QuicksilverDon put in his response you can see the front and rear bumper covers.

Here was mine looked like.
