Default Intersting Chrome trim pice find....

I need to replace my chrome trim, the wings on the hood , the pT logo, things like that..
nothing too much, just stock badges and an extra thin strip here and there to offset the satin black when done..
so i have everything rounded up, 'cept the hood wings. (ANYONE??)
I bought this one that looks just like it, but its 3 feet long (HUGE)
I have no idea what it even goes on.
I planned to accent the tailgate with it, but it has a curve and did not look good. then i looked up and saw my upcurve on the cab was very similiar in shape and size..
so i flipped it upside down (Ill have to heat the center Chrysler badge up, remove it, and flip it over as its up-side-down) and just modified the upcurve slightly to fit it.
I think it fits well on there and is true to Chrysler's trim..
and it looks like home there...

Oh yeah, that's great!

(And I think the 2007's and up came with the wider wings on the hood? Maybe that's where this comes from.)

I'm pretty sure Paula is correct and it came from the newer cruisers. It doesn't look bad but those of us that have been with the cruisers for a long time will look at it and say, that's the Chrysler wings and it's upside down. Others won't know the difference. It fits well where it is.

Cool Re: Intersting Chrome trim pice find....

Cool Idea!!
BUT....might want to look at the smaller, earlier model wing.
Smaller Wing might look more proportionate.

AND....The emblem can be popped out and glued back in right-side-up!

I think it looks out of place and detracts from the killer body work and flowing lines of this truck. Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear. Just my opinion.

I too think it looks out of place...and is too big.

Maybe a smaller one over the rear window...but I'm not sure about it.

The best place, IMO, would be on the tailgate.

Find a kinda plain tailagte and put it centered on it.

You know...a tailgate with the same embossing than the bed front end...

Hmm maybe integrate the logo with the louvers...

If you had a hatch chrome piece then you could smooth out a section and place the emblem on the tail gate?

If you had the hatch piece you could use it to even open the tailgate

I agree on Duster's image with Slayer's idea of using it to open the tailgate.
That would have to be, hands down, as close as OEM as it gets!
