thanks! i got the light off of ebay. search "cowl lights". they come in amber too. i have a pair and may do a 2 running light setup. see photo shopped pic. what do you think?

VERY nice....was thinking the exact same thing...thought about a double barrel set-up in the center...also thought of adding a maltise cross..like you see on motorcycles...just ideas in my head....how did you mount it?...I did a quick look at my bumper..and though of just trilling a hole in the plastic over...or perhaps weilding up a plate...
FYI..I love fabricating DIY one-offs.

starting from the license plate light, i used a string to help stay/guide exactly center (underneath). i marked the center point, then just drilled a hole through the underside plastic lip.
because its mounted on plastic, i had to make a separate ground wire using a solder-less connector around the threaded base of the cowl light. after mounting the light - for ground - i tapped into the muffler's fat ground wire/10 mm bolt (rear muffler hanger). the cowl light's (+) wire is tapped into the left taillight's "running light" (+) wire (black/yellow stripe). good luck with your application captcueball. post a pic when you're done.
