Default latest body mod

Well I finished shaving the doors and moved on to the antenna. I thought about shaving it as well but then thought it would be much cooler to french it in. I snapped a couple of pics along the way. Not as many as when I did the gas door but enough for you to see what is involved. Enjoy.

Hey their lowpt,

That came out really nicely! How do you like it? And ya got any pics of the rest of the shave job so I can add them to my photo archive?

Go easy,

I didn't take any pics while doing the door shave. I thought door shaving was documented on the web pretty well. The car is going to the body shop for paint tomorrow. Do you want some pics of it now while still in primer? I will be posting some after I get it back.

Hey their lowpt,

I would love to see it either way, before, and after, or even better, before, during, and after. Maybe some while prepping for the booth, in the booth, etc if you happen to maybe get a chance to swing by the shop and get to watch for a bit. If not, no biggie, but always fun to check out the behind the scene stuff once in a while.

I would ask what color your going with, but better off suprizing me!

Go easy, and keep me up on er.

Is there a color besides black? The guy painting it said he would shoots some pics for me but I think I will also drop in and get a few since the shop is only 20 minutes away. I shot a couple of pics with my phone while welding the doors. I will see how well they turned out.

That looks good. I like that you've stopped masking while shooting primer too.

moparman, how do you like the flat black on your caprice? Easier or harder to care for? I came very close to painting my pt flat black with some hot rod style pinstriping.

I bought it painted flat black and I don't know what kind of paint it was painted with (primer, BBQ paint, etc.). It's easier to care for since you don't have to wax it but that also means bird shit and bugs are harder to get off. It's also faded some over the years being outside. Eventually I'd like to paint my PT in a similar style but it'll be done with a proper satin paint.
