Thanks CandyMan! For the kind words and all of the help! I'm learning my limits and came to the conclusion that you are the expert in finishing details and I am honored having you fine tuneing the paint job, giving the Coupe the profesional finish it deserves. I'm looking forward to the finish project. Thanks again!

See you tonight, Take care

Ron

I like those rear fenders - I'd like to see what they look like on the sedan body. One idea for a rear valance: something similar to the bodywork that ties together the rear fenders of of the 1936 Chevy Master Deluxe:

Rear view of '36 Master Deluxe custom

Rear view of '36 original

Nice work!

Cool Re: 5 Window Coupe PT

Hey their Everyone,

Well, after color sanding, buffing, glazing, waxing, and a top coat of paint sealant, the 5 Window Coupe is looking a little more shiny. I now declare this ride has officially been Candyfied!

What do you guys think?

Smile Re: 5 Window Coupe PT

Hey Everyone,

I thank you as always so much for all your positive feedback! You guys are the greatest, and your comments are well appreciated!

This one was a lot of fun as it was kinda out of the norm. It has a single stage Polyurethane Paint which is more commonly found in use on Semi's as it is well known for being extremely resilient, and tends to hold up well in extreme weather, and punishing conditions, and still come out looking decent for a long period of time. Unless your familiar with this Paint, it can also be somewhat more difficult to shoot as it requires some different measures, and techniques to in comparison to using today's water based Base / Clear Coat Paints. Such was the case with this particular Paint Job, as their were some minor defects, markings, and swirls in the paint, as well as some gloss unevenness which were keeping the overall paint from really living up to its potential.

In the end, with the high durability of the paint, it was pretty easy to color sand out the imperfections, and even the gloss out to produce a decent uniform gloss finish! Its too bad that as often the case, its really hard to get a good prospective on the looks without seeing it in person.

Again, thank you all for your positive feedback! You guys rock!

Go easy,

Candyman
