Ward,
I know this is gonna sound a little crazy, but hear me out. Before retiring to Florida I lived in rural Maryland. Deer were all over the place and there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't see a dead deer on the side of the road with pieces of car all over the place. Myself, wife and son had all hit deer at one time or another. At last resort, I bought a couple sets of "deer horns" ....Yea I know, go ahead and laugh...BUT after putting the stupid little horns on both my car and the wife's we NEVER had any more trouble for a couple years before moving. In the daylight hours, when you can see the deer on the side of the road, you could see them look up as you approach, then run for cover...so I know they worked. They put out a high pitch noise that scares the deer. That's my story, and I'm sticking with it. The horns are really inexpensive, and you can place them under the front valance so as not to stick out, as long as the moving air can go through the horns and back out causing the noise.
