Fog lights.

I don't think it's fixed. The indicator light does go off when I push in the MFS switch, but it doesn't stay off.

If I use the turn signal or even hit a bump on the road, the indicator light goes on again.

How much does a new MFS cost normally? Are there any instructions on this site detailing how to change one?

I'm not very mechanically inclined and I don't have a small torqx driver. Are they relatively inexpensive? I figure it can't hurt to have one in the long run.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated...

Good luck finding a switch there is over 5000 of them on national back order, most of the suppliers I called only could say good luck locating one I ended up bypassing mine all together for $60.00 at a local car stereo shop doing the wiring.

I have an 01 Cruiser Limited non turbo.

That's what I figured after reading through another thread on this same subject.

Bypassing? To another external switch or something?

I don't have any fog lights installed yet, and I am hesitant to do so until I can fix this indicator light problem first.

I know I'm mostly encountering problems that are old news around here, so any insight or tips is much appreciated.

To turn the dash light out for now just pull fuse #8 it the fuse block that is in the dash, behind the little door. IT is just for the fog lights.

I found a multiswitch at he junk yard for $20 bucks(had to pull it myself) when I first bought mine in July. I got it out of a newer car so hopefully it has some life in it. I hoped it being from a newer year it will have a lot of life in it and made better then in 2001. Real easy to change...15 minutes.....4 screws(torx) and pop off a few wiring clips

I installed my set on Saturday using a separate switch and a relay.
(they work like a charm) I may sell the multifunction switch that came with the kit.
