I've been thinking of getting some fog lights for my 07 and was wondering if anyone has ordered from this eBay site or knows anything about them. The lights look pretty good and are a decent price. Even have different coloured bulbs and multi coloured halo light.
Not sure what the difference is between the $60 ones and the $68 one apart from free shipping. OEM Automotive Fog Lights Xenon HID: pt cruiser. |

Need to buy the full set. Even though the actual wiring is located behind the black fog cover. You need the multifunction switch. Besides that you would need the foglight w/bulb and the fog light cover.
Then your going to have to have them activated from the dealership through the Canbus system. That procedure will cost you about 110$ on top of buying the fog light kit. I did this a few months back ![]() ![]() ![]()

I was thinking about these because I didn't want to go through all the hassles of getting all the factory stuff. From what I've read you need a new multi-function switch (that seems to fail), factory wiring and then have a dealer activate everything. I don't really want all that extra expense. I'd be happy with add-on lights and a small switch on the dash someplace. These kits seem to come with everything, wiring, switches, mounting brackets, etc
I figure from the front of the car no one will know if they are factory or not. (I assume they will look almost as good) And its a choice between $60 for a light that will do the same thing as $300 or 400 from the factory Last edited by PiperGeorge; 13 Sep 2009 at 04:44 pm. |

I'm tempted to go aftermarket. These to be exact.....

Those lights look a bit better than the ones I was looking at, at least it looks like the brackets fit the factory mounting points. I sent an email to Autopia asking how they mount and this is what I got back. It sounds like these don't use the factory holes.
A friend has ordered a set of these for his 02 TBird so I'll wait and see what they look like. For some wierd reason the Canadian TBirds don't come with fog lights. 06-08 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER FOG LIGHTS This kit includes its own mounting brackets that mount independently of the factory mounting points. If you have plastic inserts currently covering your fog light holes then you will have to remove those to install this kit, which is required of any fog light installation. Please take the individual lamp measurements of approximately 4 inches Height x 4 inches Wide x 2.5 inches Depth and measure your front bumper to ensure exact fitment prior to bidding. We also have 2.75" and 5" sizes by e-mail request if you prefer a larger or smaller fog lamp look. |

Not yet, that kit doesn't come with the lamp mounting clips and screws. I would also need to cut/modify the cover on there now since the kit above doesn't supply the trim/shrouds. I may just buy the OEM kit and add a relay to fogs so the switch isn't taking the full load.
