I saw a pic somewhere of a Cruiser with no handle in the rear, it was smooth, the look was cool, but I don't know how they opened the hatch. anyone know about this? gary

Hi Gary. They use an electronic "popper." Actually it's a selinoid on a remote swtich. When the right button on the remote is pressed the selinoid pops the hatch open. It's the same thing that is used when door handles are shaved.[8D]

Hi Punch----I don't knock your ride. I noticed that you don't even show us what it looks like.
If you'd looked at traditional streetrods from the '40s and '50s you would know that yellow wheels were very common, but obviously you haven't done your research. I selected yellow to accent my flames. besides, I like them and that's all that matters. ![]()

For the record, I like your wheels too. GW |

Absolutely! That's the whole point, isn't it? To do the mods that we like on our own PTs. I think the yellow works well with the flames, and the wide whites are a great classic touch! |

Seriously bud, wtf. There's qute a few mods I've seen here that may not be in line with my particular taste but still look great on those folks rides and no one should slam their efforts. Helpful Hint: Throwing a smiley on at the end doesn't make it any less rude. |

http://www.autoloc.com/ makes actuators and solenoids for this sort of thing. I came across a shaved handle typ set up for the PT on one of the links in the forum but damned if I can remember who it was. Will pop it back here if I come across it again.

Hey Punch, apology accepted. Remember, it's all about having fun.
