Well, my idea was a roll pan, conti kit and chrome deck straps. In the process of looking for options/ideas on this, I came across the Nomad.
If the quality is suspect (and I trust you on this) I don't need to look any further into the Nomad. I was just curious what it looked like from other angles and if it was worth pursuing. |

Yep. Everything other than the wing is great. And the wing is doable, but the fiberglass PT Bob sells is really raw so it is lower in cost, but double the time to prep, rework it to fit right, and paint. Just a not so great quality part. Ray might know of a better one somewhere, so you might want to ask him as well, but Cal Cruisers is just a bit on the rough side, as well as very hard to deal with, and not too punctual on shipping. Of course if you ever needed parts, he is just down the road too so I can pick anything up and ship it to over ride him, but.
Here is another pic. I have better ones but found this one really quick.

And you were looking in a good place for the Chrome. Mitch at Cruiser Motor Sport actually sells a lot of supplies directly to Auto Truck Toys as well.
Here are those buckles which I imagine you already saw. E&G Classics Chrysler PT Cruiser Polished Stainless Deck Straps - AutoTruckToys.com And just for the heck of it, here is Mitch's Site. Products Menu If you ever need any aftermarket stuff, Mitch is great, and as well known, and good rep as Ray. And you know as always with either Ray, or Mitch, just tell them Candyman sent you and they will look after you for me.

Don, as always I am amazed at the depth of your knowledge of the PT Universe and your willingness to share it with others!
I think the wing is out. I can deal with the vendor issues you mentioned with the seller if it's a part I really have to have. In this case, the photo you dug up answered the question perfectly for me. It's not a compliment to the look I'm going for. I think I'll stick to the original plan. Who knows by time we have the $$$ to hook this up, someone may have come out with the type of kit I'm looking for

Hey Will,
Never a problem. Whenever you have a good vision of what you are wanting to work on as far as your vision, please feel free to shoot your thoughts and ideas over my direction and I will pass them on to the aftermarket powers that may be and see what can really be done to create your vision. Anything, and everything can be done. Its just a matter of knowing the right people to get the job done. ![]() Go easy, and I will catch ya later. Candyman
