All the after market tails (and I've 6 different kind) seem to be just a bit smaller than the original tails from Chrysler and leave a small gap all around the outer edge. Not saying there isn't a tail out there that does fit perfectly, I just haven't run into them.
Sounds good..... Probably expensive from the dealer huh? maybe I can whip some up from a user on here, or ebay checking for the description that says OEM!

CREWZIN you know if anyone has stock tails?

If you know any dismantling/salvage/junk yards around, you might give them a call to see if they have any new PT's that have been in a crash with the lights still intact.

Just bought a new 2007 and am wondering if the tail lights are the same as the earlier models as far as fitting goes. The reason I ask is because most advertise for 2001 to 2004 models.
Thanks

beelsamin,

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, all 4 door PT's from 2001 through 2008 all take the same tail light.

The only difference might be the convertible. The reason I say that is that I was selling my Euro LED lights to someone in one of my clubs with a Vert and for some reason, they wouldn't fit.

Anyone with anything to add?

Any factory tail lamp housing for the PT fits all PTs '01 to '08, including convertibles, it is the sockets that changed for '06 and up, the keyways where you twist the sockets into the housings are different, but with a dremel or grinder you can modify the older sockets to fit the new lamp housings.

Not sure why my Euro LED's wouldn't fit the convertible then? But thanks for the info Dream4.

as for the salvage yard if they are on the network they can do a parts search and find you any part you need from other yards locally or from all over the US.

I had a cracked bumper cover when I got my 01 cruzer, the local yard didnt have any but he found me one off the network for $125. it was even the right color, although I had it painted all silver to cover the 2 tone and make the car look newer. tail lenses are probably cheap to ship too.
