Well folks, after reading this string, I plopped my money down and sent my order in for struts for my car. I can't wait to put them on!

I like polished stuff. These are Blane's.

I like polished stuff too, but Blane didn't have anything but black when I bought mine. 3" chrome tape around the strut cylinder fixed that.

You can't go wrong with Blane's kit for the PT. I wish I could find something like it for my 2001 Sebring Convertible!

Well, I got my struts on Thursday and installed them on Saturday. Pretty easy install if you take your time and check the instructions. They look nice and work great! Very happy!!

I don't have the instructions anymore but I can tell you it's an easy install, 1 man job.

Punch: Go to Blane's site and email him with any questions. He was very helpful when I installed mine. No, it is a one person job to install them. Just read his directions a couple times and follow them to the letter and you will have them on in less than a half hour. Here is Blane's site again:

Install is very easy - requires only one person. Basically, all you do is remove one nut on the hood near the hinge, stick on the upper bracket, and tighten the nut. Then you do the same for the bottom bracket. Do this on both sides while the old prop rod is holding the hood up. Then close hood to check fit - there should be no problems. Raise and prop hood again, screw top end of strut into upper bracket, pop lower end on lower bracket - repeat for other side, lower old prop, and you're done. Shouldn't take more than 10 - 15 min, and most of that will be reading the instructions carefully. There should be no adjusting required - the fit is perfect. I've done both of our Cruisers and everything worked right the first time. Blane makes a great product and is a great, customer-oriented vendor.
