Smile Under lighting neons/LEDs

i just did the inside of my PT, im looking into doing the outside now =D

wondering what the arguments on neons VS LEDs are, i was thinking id go with Purple for the color, my PT is Patriot blue

main thing im worried about is price, actually looks, and ease of installation

They both install in about the same way except the LED's usually have 4 wires to hook up whereas the neon's can be hooked up in a series and you only deal with the one wire at the end. The LED's now-a-days usually have a small computer and you can have them come on in a thousand different patterns, different speeds, different colors. The LED's are, of course, more expensive.

Unless they have changed in the last couple of years, the neon's are more prone to break if hit by a rock or debris, but from what I've seen the neon's are a bit brighter than the LED's.

Had a 7-color LED underbody kit from Optx (same as Streetglow) and liked it a lot, although I did have problems with the tubes only half lighting up. Then I lowered my car and broke both side tubes on the first speed bump I took. Go with the LEDs. Spend a little extra and you'll be much more satisfied. Theyre brighter, use FAR less power and look sweet to boot.

Definitely LED, i got the million color kit, and 7 color interior for just under 180$

as for ease of installation mine took me 6 hours of drilling, zip-tieing, and finding a way to get them to connect to the fuse box.
