Default sun roofs

was just wondering if anyone had a sunroof put in before. im wanting my lil 01 to have one possibly this spring. love the looks of the sunroof and the sun that gets in.

Until the sun gets in your eyes. We have had 2 with sunroofs and if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't pay extra for it. Usually we don't open the inside cover at all.

I had 2 put in.
First one I was nervous, so I found a place that had pricey cars in the lot - BMW, Volvo, etc - it was fine and never leaked.
Second on I thought it was easy - just cut a hole and pop it in, but after a few years, it leaked....
These are the "pop-up" kind. My advice is don't got with the cheapest place you can find....

ya i bet a leaky sunroof wouldnt be too fun.
thanks for the input guys. i hope to have one this spring. our pt is mainly the wifes car and she's wanting one. and everyone knows the saying.... when the wife is happy everyone is happy

DO NOT DO IT!!! I specialize in repairing these! We are a Webasto authorized repair company and we repair all the sunroofs for the dealers under warranty...LeakPro Intro Page I go to court 5-6 times a year as an expert witness...If the car did not come with a sunroof..DO NOT INSTALL ONE! You are asking for troubles! Leaks, squeeks, rattles, weakened roof supports....the list goes on....
