Default Front grille

Was looking for a front grille overlay because i like the look of the chrome grilles and i was at an advanced auto parts and saw 3m chrome strips for 12$ and was willing to give it a shot since i was already there and shipping for the overlay would be a week or so anyways. Was just wanting to get people takes on the front grille, if i should keep it or cough up the 60 or so $ for the overlay that imo doesnt look too different. please and thank you!

I have the upper and lower ghrome grille overlays on my 08:

What I like about the upper ones in particular is that it covers the WHOLE grille such as the vertical bars and it's not just strips.

Its snap on correct? I dont mind the looks of the adhesive ones i have, the problem is cleaning the car im thinking ill have to be careful when spraying it , i just want it to be a solid piece rather than stick on i suppose

Yes, both of my grilles are clip on. The upper grille came with a tube of strong adhesive to be applied to certain areas in the grille. So it's clipped AND glued on. No turning back now without a paint job.

Heh, well i guess its not coming off then. Theres just so many products out there, its hard to choose, so it takes me forever to get anything done. I saw a pt a few days back with some vertical grille replacement on and it was all bent and looks absolutely terrible, so i guess im scared that that will be me.that grille does look pretty durable. Its just so hard to cough up 200$ for something thats purely cosmetic, but i suppose if its a quality product i would quickly get over it.

I bought it back in 08 as one of my first mods. I wash my Cruiser weekly and it still shines like day one. There's only some hard to reach areas with wax residue but that's nothing a soft toothbrush won't clean.

And besides, there are more grille options for the 01-05 than there is for the 06-up. This was pretty much my only option besides PTeazer's.

I installed the "stick on" grille chrome strips on our 2008 within 2 weeks of buying it new. They have been on since then and the PT being washed about every week. It sets off the front and makes the Touring look more like our 2006 Limited did with the factory chrome grille.

I have the snap on chrome grille on my '05 vert, it's still shiny and has worn very well. The only problem wth the grill is that the two clips on the passenger side have broken off.

Does anyone have any idea how to reattach the grille to the car without damaging the original grille?

I actually think the stock chrome grille looks sharp, i would be happy if my car had that, but you know how it is, you always want what you dont have. lol
might as well buy a new grille and be done with it
