If you are looking for a kit, you can get the best here:

http://home.pcmagic.net/blajess/

If you are just looking for the shocks, I'm not sure but I've read that you can find the right size at a boat shop.

From PTDoItYourself.Net:

http://www.ptdoityourself.net/pthoodstrutguide.html

"Wyckoff Chrysler carries a new PT Cruiser "Hood Strut Kit" (P/N PTMHS - Black) for about $120, which replaces the OEM hood support, and greatly reduces the likelyhood of hood damage. PYDIY Club members receive an additional discount off their already low sale price. "
There's also a link to a true do it yourself install where you buy the struts and make the brackets, but the link wouldn't come up for me.

Blaine's, Blaine's, Blaine's! ! ! Great price, great product, great customer service! What more could you want! All sorts of colors, chrome, etc. Had mine a good while, no signs of wear or discolor. One of the first and most practical mods I've made!
