Default HEADLIGHT HELP!

I've been reading these forums for awhile, and just decided to sign up! I have a question to anyone about headlights.

I have an 05 that I have been customizing for two years now and have been looking for different looks for headlights, I have been able to find exactly ZERO, does anyone know any customized headlights or even factory with a different look?

Any and All help is very much appreciated!

Hey bud, welcome to the site. There's not to many things out there for the PT headlights. There's covers you can buy to change the look, or you could just buy the whole assembly like these

or you could just customize them your self. I know some one on here was making a halo projector headlight assembly but i can't remember who it was and if it was successful. in the mean time this is what my head lights look like, i just used two color's, blue and light smoke vinyl

I have seen the covers and didnt really like them, I was looking at a set of the black ones, but I am trying to get away from having the amber side markers, and unfortunately no one sells them anymore because I guess they arent DOT approved.

If there's ANY kind of inspection in your state, they will fail you for not having the amber markers. Just saw your from California. The worst state there is for inspections.

Crewzin has a point, however, if you take the stock headlights apart by putting them into the oven, and baking them for 10 mins at 250 degrees, they will come apart, you can paint the surrounds any color you want, and pop the amber reflectors out of the headlights. I replaced the amber with white DOT reflective tape. If you are worried about being legal, they sell stick on amber reflectors you could easily stick to your bumper. I also did the headlights on my moms, painted them blue, and left the amber in there. Check the pics out below.

Those surrounds looks awesome. What I like about it is that it is a subtle thing that looks different when you have the car parked at a show, and it takes you a minute to figure out what the owner did that's different. Those are the best kinds of mods.

If anyone needs help on how to remove their headlight this video will show you how on a 01-05. Figured it might help you guys out with the mods.
