suicide doors

anyone here performed this mod, I've always liked them on the old street rods, I know theres a hinge kit available on streetbeat customs. just wondering about the difficulty and cost to do the rear doors

There's an old saying...if you have to ask about the price...your can't afford it! Only kidding, but this mod is real expensive...we are talking a couple thousand after all the work and painting. The real reason I'm posting is to caution you against a scam that was on eBay. Someone or persons unknown was selling the suicide door kits for a couple hundred dollars and it turned out to be screws, bolts and a couple regular home door hinges and a couple lines of instructions.....so keep on doing what your doing...ask question and see the examples of anyone doing the work...it pays to take your time and shop around.

PTeazer has done one PT Cruiser. The job that they did is fantastic.




It isn't a kit because the work is very extensive. It has to be done "in house." I have no idea what the cost for this mod is except to say that the owner of PTeazer couldn't believe that someone was willing to spend that much money for the mod.

and just wondered how much fabrication was involved on an install like that. I've just always loved the look of the doors like this http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/329976.

Oh and yeh i have seen that PT with the lambo doors and the suicide doors, sweet ride, except for that fugly lookin dragon painted down the side. i cant find teh pics now, i'll post em if i do

IR, yep thats the one, i hadn't seen it in awhile. I thought the rear were suicide doors, oops, but anyway its a nice lookin ride except i dont like that airbrush job
