Default Chrome spears not staying stuck . . . .suggestions?

We installed chrome spears on my son's 03 and my 05 yesterday. The rear doors went on just fine - no problem.

the front doors, however, did not want to go on - it seemed like they were high centering. When we stuck the back end down, the front end would come up, and when we stuck the front end down, the back end would come up. It seems like the spears are curved differently form the doors.

We thought we had finally got them down, with the aid of a couple more pieces of ta;e on the front end. But when we got home after church today, I noticed that the front end on each door has separated from the door.

Any suggestions as to the best way to get them stuck down for good? We've cleaned and re-cleaned the doors with degreaser and alcohol.

Note: We also installed chrome door posts on the 05 - the driver's door post had come loose on both ends this morning, but we got it stuck down - for now.

The temperature was in the low sixties yesterday when we installed the chromw - could that be a factor?

Thanks - O'Reilly's is just a couple of miles away. their corporate headquarters is here, too. So they should have it.

Edit - I called them - they have 5 in stock, so I should be able to get there before they sell all of them.

Just tape them very tightly or hold them on while it bonds and sets. This is what i used to fill in the wifes center bezel and its stronger than epoxy when hardened

The ad says that it takes 15 minutes to set, so the tape sounds like a very good idea! I can't bend over and hold that chrome strip on for 15 minutes!
