Default broken antenna at work

Went to leave work today noticed my antenna snapped off right flush with the chrome nut if that's what you'd call it. Anyway. I picked up a shorty one. Problem is how do I get the remaining stud out? Apparently some people don't like our cars at burger king. Friend of mine got his convertible top cut 7" across above the passenger seat.

You might try screw extractors like sears has. If a better idea doesn't come up It might be tuff to drill and tap. Might be a good time to upgrade to a power ant. Or get a used one from someone on here. Not a lot of call for them.

Try eBay, rockauto, and even check your local parts stores.

I grabbed a set of grab it's from canadian tires. one end cuts like a cone in the buested screw and other end has a reverse threaded cone. they work surrprisingly well. I bought a set for all the stripped phillip head screws the import rc cars come with so I can put allen bolts in. turns out I use them a lot. had to change a washer in a bathroom faucet. another stripped phillips. worked a charm... food for thought
