Woody Question

Did any woody PT Cruisers come from the factory with woody kits installed or were all aftermarket installs?

Thanks

Re: Woody Question

Woodies were a Chrysler OEM option. There were also independent aftermarket woody suppliers.

The factory woody appliques may have actually been added after the cars left the factory. I have read that the factory 'flames' were added (for Chrysler) after the cars left the factory, but they were not aftermarket.

Re: Woody Question

I have researched this to some great length chrysler actually applied woody kits in the factory on ordered vehicles only, all other woody kits were 800 dollar dealer options. the only way ive been told you can tell is if like me you have the build sheet that shows it being ordered that way, any that were installed later dont show on the build sheet but as a dealer option on the sticker. as for numbers i have heard less than 20k came from toluca that way

Most of the aftermarket woody kits look different from the Chrysler ones.

Pics of the differences? Stock factory installed vs aftermarket. Mine didn't come as a woody, but going to do the conversion.

First, I doubt very much if you can still get the factory woody kits. Second you can get some very nice kits from vendors like www.raceandstreet.com

Look in the exterior section near the bottom of that group.
