Default Lake Pipes-assorted styles

For those looking for lake pipes, here are a few sites to look at.
BTW, you don't have to buy them specifically made for a Cruiser.
This could save you some serious cash.

However, I'm looking for some 3" side pipes to modify as lake pipes. (available at speedway motors also) Anyone got 3" lake pipes that they have "manufactured" to fit?

I got my lake pipes from Mooneyes. They are the 60" so that they fit well under my running boards.

I bought my 70" lake pipes from www.kingofdice.com
I bought the polished stainless steel ones that just came out recently, instead of the chrome ones. Mine cost $120 for the set, which was only $15 more than the chrome ones. I've had mine on through two winters now in PA with lots of salt and snow and so far they seem to be holding up fine; no rust.
I had them installed by Pineapple in MD. He installed them without using any brackets that wrap around the pipes and would show, so they have a nice clean look. Instead he screwed them into brackets that you can't see underneath and to the back of the pipes. He did a great install job.

You can buy functional side pipes.

Cook,

Yes, they're fake pipes. A lot of us wanted to have the look of the 50's and 60's cars on our PT and a lot of cars back then had either real or fake pipes (yea, even back then a lot had fake pipes). As IRPT pointed out, you can buy real side pipes from a couple of different vendors. There's no muffler on the real pipes, only a resonator after the CAT to quiet down the exhaust so I'm not sure how loud they are....and, some states don't allow the exhaust to come out before the rear wheels.
