Suicide Doors

Has anyone done suicide doors for there rear doors? I don't think I want to do the popping thing anymore because of all the problem I been hearing about the battery. I use my car for everyday use. But I do want to reverse my rear doors. By doing this I also have to have the handles placed on the other side. If anybody got info on someone that can do the job in the NJ area please send info. Thanks

Just a thought, but If you wanted, because its the back doors you could have a latch that opens the doors from the inside and shave the outside ones...seems like a lot of trouble to shave the handle on one side just to reinstall it further back [:I]

Thats true. Thanks for that input. I seen a silver PT hooked up that relocated the handle and that is why I thought of it.

I've done some research on suicide doors for the cruiser.. for a good job your are looking at $3000.00.. the biggest hurdle is the reinforcement of the doors and getting them to open at an functional angle. I would suggest finding a rod and custom shop in your area and consult them about performing the mod. Since most rod shops are used to performing this mod on heavier cars they will be better suited to do the work.

there is a lot of work and down time involved if you are thinking of doing it yourself but the cost is right. there is a sit that gives you a how-to but its not the best. it left me with more questions then answers. best to just ask a pro. there must be a shop around you some place.
