Default Blue STREET LEGAL fog light lens covers...

were just recently acquired after looking for several months for something that I wouldn't have to remove for normal driving because they were only intended for "show or off-road use". When the lights are off they are [u]light blue</u>...

...but, with the lights turned on, they are a "bright white"
and STREET LEGAL...
[^]

These lens covers are an exact fit for the PT Cruiser and are easily removed or exchanged for another color. What I like about the light blue covers is that I can put them on and "forget them" except if washing the car when they should be removed. [8D]

The lens covers were purchased from Bill's SURF "N" PT, Roseburg, Oregon. "PT Bill" drives a Inferno Red Cruiser with some wild "3-D hood flames"...

Those look sweet! I just contacted him. Are those velcro dots? What about leaving them on when it rains (since you mentioned removal for washing)? Your PT is lookin' gooderer an' gooderer every day.

Thanks for the link Gary. Saved it for future reference, and sent a message asking about some "Purple" covers for the fog lights.

Velcro dots are used to hold the covers in place. Make sure they are applied to a [u]clean and dry</u> surface and they should be fine. If by chance they are damaged they are easy to replace. The fog light covers are available in dark blue, light blue, red, amber, purple, coral and smoke. They are of high-quality and cut for a perfect custom fit. Highly recommend. [8]

I think there pretty cool, but intended for show only, forget that there staying on all the time for me.

I have blue bulbs down there which look the same.

Do these darker the lights any, or let less light avaliable.

To my eyes the covers do not darken the light, KingKole02. In fact, they appear to "brighten it somewhat" for whatever the reason. [8D]

The reason they seem brighter, is that they are filtering out everything except the blue part of the specturm, which is whiter in actuallity, and gives your eyes the perception of being brighter.
