Default Replacement chrome (or stainless) wipers

I'd like to replace the stock black wiper arms on my PT with chrome or stainless steel wipers, to closer approximate that classic 1930s-40s look. I've found a set of chrome wipers at Cruiser Motor Sports, but a set of 3 would cost me more than $325 bucks! That's about $300 more than I want to spend;-)

I've found replacement (stock black) PT Cruiser wiper arms for about $25. I've also found stainless steel wiper arms for other cars in this same price range.

Here's my question: Has anyone had any experience replacing factory PT Cruiser wiper arms with wipers for a different car? Is there more to it than length and fitting a 13mm bolt?

Here are a few examples from ebay of stainless steel wiper arms for less than $40 bucks: a 1968-86 JEEP, or a 1967-9 Camaro, or a Triumph Spitfire?

Can anyone tell me if any of these might fit my 2007 PT Cruiser?

Hmmm...not sure. I've replaced mine but with a nicer set of black arms. Personally, I'd NEVER purchase anything from CMS, even if my life depended on it. The guy that runs CMS is the world's biggest jerk. If you scroll down you'll see photos of items for sale that have R&S tags on them - he's a thieving ahole, taking images off of Maggie's site, Race & Street, and using them on his site. I've opened up complaints with BBBonline, and am trying to reach out to the local community where he lives to file complaints with his local township.

I emailed that jerk, just telling him that he had some photos from R&S on his site, and his response was so bad, and so harsh, that I can't even repeat what he said to me here in public. The man is a lousy, idiotic, moronic b-terd!

sigh....off my soap box....

Chromenut - You're clearly more familiar with CMS than I am. But I have to say I did quite a bit of comparison shopping online, and ended-up buying most of my aftermarket chrome accessories from CMS, as their prices were generally much lower than other prices I found. I placed a pretty large and detailed order, and was very happy with speedy delivery and attention to detail that was applied to my order.

That said, I'm definitely not spending $225 bucks on chrome wiper arms;-)

I tend to look at overall price/shipping if we are talking about the same items....

Chromenut - I overlooked the most important revelation in your post above - Chromenut doesn't have chrome wipers?

Maybe you could have a local chrome shop do up a set of oem style wipers for you??? It's worth a phone call at the very least. I'd guess about 50 bucks and you're blinging in the rain!

I dunno, Chromenut, I think the fact that you chose not to install these chrome wipers, given the option, makes you a "chrome-moderate," not "nut";-)
