Check your local laws. most want the amber reflector on the side.

The amber piece can be removed, search for that. It involves breaking up the amber part inside the headlamp and removing the pieces with needle nose pliers, personally, its not for me.

This sounds really tight, but too difficult to miss with. I know I may screw something up.

You can do it, but it will never be legal.SAE Certification requires an Amber Reflex Reflector visible from the side of the car on the front end.

Gawd that was a pain...but yea. I left the stock amber bulb in there since it blended well with the black housing so when I turn, it looks almost just as bright as stock. Legally you need a reflector when teh car is parked so people wont hit it...but Ive never had an issue with that. As long as you park under a light, youre alright...At least here in Florida. [:I]

Not in California and I would assume most other states. The amber reflecter is required. Perhaps, if you added a yellow reflecter to the front fender you could get away with it, but I don't think that's what you were planning to do.
