Default Steel Wheels for Winter Tires

Hi all
I am looking for a source for steel wheels for my Cruiser in 16" to mount a set of snow tires on and let me put my aluminum wheels away till spring. We have a lot of salt here on our roads and winter in Nova Scotia lasts from November to March/April. I would like a set that I could paint to match my silver PT and also a set of Baby Moons for them.

Steve -
Have 16 inch Chrome Wheels with Michelin Tires on 2002 PT Limited and
just bought 4 Winter Tires with Rims that were advertised in our Montreal Gazette paper. They were originally for a VW Jetta. 16 inch Black Rims with P205 55 R 16 Goodrich Winter Slalom Tires. They were used one Winter but can hardly tell they were used. I took one tire to Tire Dealer and he removed one wheel from PT to make sure these Winter Rims and Tires fit and they fit like a glove. Cost 350.00 for Rims and Tires. Why not keep your eye out in papers, or places where people put ads for items for sale. You may find something. Just make sure the 5 bolt holes line up. Good Luck. By the way where did you obtain the Baby Moons. (Are they just the Chrome Cap) Looking for just the small round Hub Cap?

Try TireRack.com. They have a large variety of replacement wheel and winter tire packages available. Also, the 15" and 16" wheels for a Neon will also fit the PT wheel pattern.

In T.O. 'Trawna' where winter salt reigns (rains):
Was advised to save $ and just petro-gel (Vaseline) the wheels to protect against corrosion.
My concern is tire bead seal compromise.
Any thoughts?
