Always irked me the bumper (particularly the front) wasn't painted - even Neons have always had painted bumpers.
Not true. When the Neon first came out, in 1994 as a 95 model, the base models had the front and rear bumpers that were not painted either.I was at Marietta Dodge in Atlanta on January 13 of 1994 taking delivery of my 94 Shadow ES V6 when the trasport came in with their first Neons.

Why is it, I can't find one single body shop here in Omaha that will paint my covers. They all say it won't work and the paint will fall off, and they would never gurantee it. Is Omaha that backword ?
Tell them they are full of it. The picture was taken about 18 months ago and the bumpers look just as good today after 2 years outside in New Jersey weather. You just need to find someone who knows the way to do it. Just keep looking.

obwan ,I had the same problem with getting my mirrors painted here
in Columbus. They agreed to paint the mirrors, but said they would never do a bumper.Mine were painted so no problem. They look so much better painted.IMHO
CREWZIN ,your Cruiser always looks great.[?]

Anybody care to guess where Crewzin's silver-painted bumper cover went?
Yup, bought it off him, and it looks great on mine. I relocated my license plate to below the bumper rather than drill the cover.

Anyone have any overheating problems by putting the plate below the bumper? Blocks a bit of the lower opening....

You never gave us a chance to guess. [:I]

You could alwasy drill holes in the front lincense, they might even change that law after seeing that.
