Went ahead and removed the Xenon front bumper cover and had the OEM one painted.

Beacon,

Ever since I put on the Xenon cover I used to think that it changed the shape of the front end by having flatter/shaper edges and it stuck out further than the OEM bumper. There was nothing wrong with it, and I didn't hate it, but always liked the newer PT (already factory painted) bumpers.

Ah. Well fair enough then. I agree about the painted bumpers, those raw unfinished abs bumpers really detract from the PT's look IMO.

Very curious how they got it off - heat to soften the sticky tape? That was probably the hardest part!
Always irked me the bumper (particularly the front) wasn't painted - even Neons have always had painted bumpers.

Why is it, I can't find one single body shop here in Omaha that will paint my covers. They all say it won't work and the paint will fall off, and they would never gurantee it. Is Omaha that backword ?
