I've only had my Cruiser for about 2 weeks, but I'm interested in adding some chrome accents, like chrome bumper inserts, etc.

Most of these products are applied using 3M adhesive. I'm wondering if this application method really lasts, especially in a cold Canadian winter.

Any info. / suggestions would be appreciated.
I have had chrome bumper inserts on my Taupe for the past two years - the PT is a daily driver - the 3M tape used has held up very well during the cold winters here! The PT is outside all the time. The only thing that I have found that will dislodge them are DEER!![B)]

Sounds like I'll have to give some of them a try - - now I only have to find a way to pay for the darn things If I meet up with a deer, I'll probably have bigger things to worry about than my chrome, right?

Just about all of the PT stores have the beltline kit. Check out the following threads for some info:

Lucretia

Like they have said here, just apply it on in the warm weather and make sure it's clean. I have chrome parts applied to my Cruiser and nothing has come off. Most of the stuff has been on there for 3 years and through 3 Michigan winters. My Cruiser is a daily driver

Ooooh, pretty cars, krecher and ptc363!! I love all that chrome - - I gotta get some! It doesn't sound as though I should have a problem with it as long as I apply it properly. Thanks

Well living in wild & wooley Manitoba, Canada where we got the sh*t kicked out of us this winter with minus 47 degree temps, I can assure you the 3M tape that holds the chrome products on, HOLD'S, No problems.

Belt Line kits you can buy at any parts store in rolls, around 19 bucks US. Simply cut with a sharp knife, put some silver nail polish on the ends, and a little clear nail polish afterwars and your off and running. Mind you I made all my cuts at about a 45 degree angle so they don't catch on anything.

Did all the chrome on my car that way, except the bumper inserts, grill, etc. Check them out for yourself. [?]
