I have the front end for sale. You can see what it looks like on the cover of the first Cruiser Quarterly with Al Jardine standing next to my car 'Blue Moon'. I have all three pieces for sale as one unit, I will not sell them seperatly, I have the Mirage Front Fascia with lower insert Grille (already in place), and Hot Rod Grille by Mirage/PT Cruisin. This front end was originally made by Mirage/PT Cruisin in Fiberglass and not plastic or Urethane. Being that 'Blue Moon' is pretty much a show car and not a daily driver these parts are all in Very Good condition.

I'll try to send you an e-mail via the forum but I have not had any luck with this before. If you could send me an e-mail (rbowen1@ec.rr.com) I would like to talk to you about the front end.

I just wanted to say that I, too, LOVE that grille and would happily form over the bread for it - if I were ABLE to!

But...one thing that concerns me when I see that grille is the potential for the front end (on either side of the OEM grill opening)to get scratched like crazy from the overhanging metal bars [:I]. It's kind of difficult to tell from the pics, but I wonder how far from the surface the grill actually mounts. If it's too close, I would imagine that at any decent speed, the grille could come in contact with the paint.[:0] It definitely looks phenomenal as a show car, but I'd have to wonder about its practicality as a daily driver.

Any other thoughts?

I would assume that the tail edge of the grill has a mount plate that uses one of the screws (7 or 10mm) that are found on the quarter panel of the car anyway.

Here's a little insight to the Grille overhangs. The Grille is mounted in six (6) places, two under the hood with the 7mm's, two down low into the inside frontal apron and then a screw into the side of the fender up by the tips near the Hood (Yes you do have to put a hole in each Fender, small but still a hole.)

As a daily driver there is no issue with this and I didn't ever have any paint damage. I also had a Custom Bra made for the front end and that really helps when driving long distance. This PT is an '01 and I have 18,000 miles on her, 17K of which had this Front Fascia and Grille on.

I have the front end for sale.
I also sent you an e-mail through the site, but as said, it doesn't work very well.
I would be very interested in your grille that you have for sale. If you have any pics, can you please send them to korn_nuts69@hotmail.com? Also, what are you asking?
