Default Air Dam Question

I am in the process of shopping for an air dam. Its a toss up between the full Bruiser look and the basic Xenon air dam and bumper cover. Here is my problem. My wife hit a deer with our PT <img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle> tearing the stock air dam right where it meets the fender. Can anyone tell me if these two front ends cover up or go up to the joint in the fender and stock air dam?

It follows right along that line. If it got pulled apart, you are screwed.

So what you are telling me is that none of the air dams replace the factory they just cover over it? (off to kill the wife) I was hoping that at least the Briuser air dam would replace the old one and bolt to the fender.

The bruiser fascia is taped/screwed to the top of the original bumper and comes around to inside the wheel wells where it is secured by three screws. It completely covers the original lower grill/airdam area.
